Patriots’ Day 2025 at Minute Man: A Historic Commemoration

The 250th Anniversary of the opening battle of the American Revolution at Minute Man National Historical Park was a tremendous success, drawing thousands of visitors to honor the events of April 19, 1775.

The park hosted a series of immersive and educational programs throughout the week, culminating in an extraordinary Patriots’ Day tactical demonstration. With the participation of hundreds of dedicated living history volunteers, visitors witnessed dramatic portrayals of the running battle and civilian evacuation along Battle Road.

In addition to the Battle Road events, the park offered ranger-led tours, cannon firing demonstrations, open houses, an interactive hike, and hosted commemorative ceremonies attended by local, state, and federal officials.

Special thanks to the amazing park staff, volunteers, law enforcement, supporters, sponsors, and community partners who made these events possible.

The 250th Anniversary drew significant national attention and media coverage, reinforcing the importance of preserving America’s revolutionary past. Visitors were inspired by the living history events and the park’s commitment to inclusive storytelling that honors the diverse voices of the Revolution.

And this is just the beginning—National Park Service staff are already hard at work planning more 250th Anniversary programs throughout 2025, so we hope to see you again soon.
