Summer Internships at Minute Man

Minute Man National Historical Park (NHP) offers several paid student internship opportunities for summer 2023, including part-time summer internships for natural and cultural resource management, a Buttrick Gardens internship in partnership with the Friends of Minute Man, and a summer training opportunity for local high school students in partnership with The Student Conservation Association (SCA).

Natural and Cultural Resources Summer Internships

Minute Man NHP is offering paid, part-time summer student internships in natural and cultural resource management. Work as a member of the park’s Summer Resource Stewardship Team to advance the protection and management of the park’s natural and cultural resources, including witness houses, stone walls, trails, gardens, and wetland habitat areas. Buttrick Gardens Summer Internship

Join us this summer as a paid horticultural intern caring for the Buttrick Gardens. Tasks include caring for flower beds containing a historic iris and daylily collection; planting, weeding, and watering flower beds; pruning trees, shrubs, and vines. Student Conservation Association Summer Internships for High School Students

Minute Man NHP is offering an excellent paid summer training opportunity for local high school students in partnership with The Student Conservation Association (SCA). The crew will consist of six members and work for six weeks with an SCA Crew Leader and NPS Historic Preservation Specialist. The crew will complete a variety of historic preservation projects, including the documentation, removal and rebuilding of a garden balustrade (railing) at the Joshua Brooks House. The crew will also work on stabilizing the garden dry-laid stone wall amongst other important preservation projects in the Park.
