Planting a Living Legacy: Memorial Trees at Minute Man

The Friends of Minute Man and Minute Man National Historical Park were honored to work with the Goodman family to place two memorial trees at the Park in memory of their parents.

Harry and Dorothy Goodman moved to the area to be closer to family, and their daughter Nancy notes that they “loved the beauty of Lincoln, neighboring towns, and Minute Man National Historical Park.” The couple is memorialized with a tulip tree and a sugar maple, both planted on the hillside overlooking the North Bridge.

Honoring a loved one with a memorial tree is a meaningful way to create a living legacy while helping preserve the beauty of Minute Man National Historical Park. If you are interested in commemorating a family member or friend with a memorial tree, we invite you to contact Kathleen Fahey at director@friendsofminuteman.org to learn more about this special opportunity.
